1. The golden rule for sand mills and ceramic grinding media: the thicker the material, the larger the specific gravity of the beads, the larger the particle size of colored beads should be used on the premise that the material can be ground to the fineness; the harder the material is, the harder media should be used; The finer the requirement, the finer the bead size should be selected, and the filling amount should be increased accordingly; when the initial particle size and the final particle size span of the material are large, the segmented mill is used, and each device is equipped with beads of different particle size for coarse grinding Use large beads and small beads for fine grinding.
2. The filling amount of the grinding medium: usually 65-85% of the net capacity of the sand mill. In winter, you can put more beads, and if you have frozen water, you can put as much as possible. If the temperature is too high and the discharge pressure is too high during production, the filling amount of beads should be reduced or the equipment speed should be lowered. If the product outlet temperature is too low, some beads can be added and the equipment speed can be increased to improve the grinding efficiency.
3. Addition of grinding media: When it is felt that the grinding efficiency is reduced or the current of the equipment is significantly reduced, this is the signal to add beads. New beads or old beads after screening can be supplemented according to the volume of the sand mill.
4. Maintenance of grinding media: The particle size of the beads will gradually become smaller after long-term use. In order not to block the separation screen of the sand mill or damage the dynamic separation ring, it is recommended to screen out the beads that are too small during machine repair, and save the beads with small diameters. Use it on a fine grinding sand mill, and continue to use the large-sized beads on the screen; if conditions permit, it is recommended to use the old beads together and the new beads for the whole machine.
5. The main factors affecting the service life of beads:
5.1 Wrong selection: the beads do not match the equipment;
5.2 Rotation speed: the line speed is too high;
5.3 Filling volume: The filling volume is too high;
5.4 Sand mill problem: the equipment should be maintained in time when the bead part of the equipment appears;
5.5 Material formula: solid content is too low, viscosity is not enough;
5.6 Raw material: the presence of hard impurities;
5.7 Operational problems: dry rotation after adding beads or high-speed idling cleaning after adding solvent only.
In short, paying attention and summarizing during the production and maintenance can improve the grinding efficiency and reduce the downtime, while extending the service cycle of the grinding media. If you have other usage problems, please feel free to contact UNIPRETEC.
