Aluminum Nitride or AlN is an extremely thermal conductive ceramic material, as well as being strong thermal radiative and offering an outstanding electrical insulation performance. According to the manufacturing conditions, this capability of aluminum nitride ceramic is used in the fabrication of semiconductor industry devices, electronic substrates, as well as in other areas owing to the development of its applications.
One of the typical application is substrates made of AlN ceramic, which is strongly thermal conduction and has a strong electrical insulation property, moreover, AlN material has the coefficient of thermal expansion nearly identical to that of silicon. Aluminum Nitride (AlN) is heat-resistant, very easily working from low temperature to high temperature.
Another application are ceramic components made of aluminum nitride material. AlN is a well-balanced technical ceramic for a part of a semiconductor manufacturing device, especially with regard to its excellent thermal shock resistance, plasma resistance, and electrical insulation characteristics, and also has a coefficient of thermal expansion that is surprisingly similar to that of silicon wafer.
