Alumina Furnace Tube China


High purity (mainly 95% Al2O3 and 99% Al2O3) alumina furnace tube, while using its high temperature resistance (up to 1,800 degrees C) property, we must follow the inherent characteristics of the alumina ceramic material (thermal shock resistance is relatively poor, not resistant to rapid cold and heat), operate carefully during use, improper operation will cause the alumina tube furnace tubes to burst. Following are possible causes of explosion:


1. The temperature difference is too large

1.1 When using alumina tube for furnace, the heating and cooling speed is controlled at 5 degrees per minute, the slower the better. The rapid cold and rapid heat is one of the main reasons that cause the alumina ceramic furnace tube to break. The long-term use temp. generally does not exceed 1,650 degree C.

1.2 Please always keep the inside of the tube clean, clean the inner wall of the furnace tube in time after use, and do not leave some samples in the tube to avoid chemical reactions and cracking of the furnace tube.

1.3 When setting out and sampling, do not exceed 150 degrees C, and slowly advance from the edge to the center. High-temperature sample delivery and sampling is also one reason for the fracture. Do not touch the high-temperature furnace tube with low-temperature objects.

1.4 In places where the atmosphere needs to be ventilated, the air flow should not be too large, and 5~10 bubbles per minute is appropriate to avoid excessive cold air flow causing excessive temperature difference in the furnace tube and breaking the furnace tube.

1.5 During using, heat insulation plugs (one or two on each side) should be placed in the tube, and the position is between the hot zone and the cold zone.


2. Gravity deformation

For high temperature use of alumina ceramic tube for furnace, it is recommended to add brackets on both sides of the tube to prevent the tube from breaking due to gravity deformation.


3. Other reasons

3.1 The sample burned in the alumina(Al2O3) furnace tube, especially the sample burned to about 1,300 degree C, should have as less water content as possible. It is recommended to pre-burn the sample at about 120 degrees C, drain the water, and then put it into the furnace tube.

3.2 The newly-purchased alumina(Al2O3) furnace tube should be heated up to 1,300℃ at a heating rate of 5℃/min and baked once and then used for work to eliminate stress and pollutants;

3.3 It is recommended that the heating speed should not be too fast, the heating speed should be 5~8℃/min, the limit speed should be 10℃/min, the cooling curve should be set, the heating rate should not be higher than 10℃/min, and the cooling rate should be lower than 10℃/ min (Be sure to set the cooling rate, do not stop the program directly at the high temperature)
