Product Introduction
Alumina ceramic has received widespread attention due to its high melting point, high hardness, excellent high temperature stability and low price. However, due to its low fracture toughness, the aura of destruction greatly limits the application of alumina ceramic.In order to solve this problem, zirconia is introduced into alumina ceramics, ZTA zirconia toughened alumina ceramic can be prepared. Zirconia can play the role of phase change toughening and microcrack toughening in alumina ceramics, toughening and strengthening alumina ceramics, thereby improving the toughness of alumina ceramics, so ZTA alumina ceramic is very promising ceramic material.
Molding will affect the density of the ZTA ceramic green body and the uniformity of its internal micro-structure, and has a great impact on the densification of the ceramic during the sintering process and the various properties of the ceramic including the hardness after sintering. ZTA has many excellent properties, such as low thermal conductivity, high insulation, good thermal expansion coefficient matching, special optical properties, and good bio-compatibility. At the same time, ZTA has good high temperature mechanical strength, high hardness, and high elastic modulus, high bending strength, high fracture toughness, thermal shock resistance, wear resistance, oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance. These enable ZTA ceramics to be widely used, such as electrical insulators, high-efficiency gas turbine components, aerospace automotive parts, corrosion-resistant gaskets, ceramic liner sleeves, sealing valves, armors, molds, and metal connecting parts.
