In addition to the vast majority of advantages of metal valve balls and valve seats, ceramic valve balls and valve seats have excellent wear resistance, acid and alkali resistance, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, high toughness and anti-static characteristics, so they can be used in a particularly harsh environment, they do not pollute materials and the environment. Valves with ceramic components are widely used in petroleum, chemical, metallurgical, paper, electric power, coal and other industries and various acid, alkali, salt, gas, liquid, high-temperature steam and mud transportation systems. They are even better in harsh environments or under liquids and provide better operability and longer service life. Therefore, ceramic valve seats and balls have the advantages of low overall cost and long operating life. Compared with traditional valve materials, technical ceramics have greater substitution in performance and applicable conditions. With the further improvement of ceramic valve technology, the cost is further reduced, and the substitution effect will become stronger.
The Main Application Industries
● paper industry | ● the dry ash system of power plants |
● circulation pipelines of chemical plants | ● transport of liquids containing particles |
● drug circulation pipelines of pharmaceutical factories | ● high-wear and dry dust conditions in other industries |
Advantages
① In terms of hardness, advanced ceramic reaches the level of HRC88-90, second only to diamond, so they can be used under wear and high erosion conditions, and they are much better than steel under the same conditions.
② Ceramics have high chemical properties and hardly react with any media, so ceramics can be used in most highly corrosive media.
③ Ceramics can withstand up to 600-1,650°C and can work normally at 500°C. They are very perfect valve materials.
④ Ceramics have good wear resistance. In other high-scouring industries, the wear rate can be greatly reduced, which can reduce the valve replacement rate, save maintenance costs, and improve the cost-effectiveness of ceramic valves.
⑤ Ceramics have high mechnical strength, they can withstand a nominal pressure of 1.6MPa.
⑥ The ceramic materials have good uniformity, which can improve the fluency of the pipeline., the grinding technology and the sealing performance, reduce leakage to the minimum, and create a good working environment.
